Job Description:

The Multi-Site Manager, Hoag Medical Group Urgent Care is an essential leadership position and is responsible for the personnel and daily operations of multiple ambulatory medical offices. This position will facilitate growth and development of services in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan. Working with each site’s Supervisor/Manager, the MSM has overall operational responsibility for both support staff and facilities for multiple locations within the HMG medial office network. Along with each site Supervisor/Manager, the MSM works collaboratively with the Physician Site Directors in the locations that they oversee, HMG and HMTS leadership. The MSM, is accountable for ensuring that the support staff, clinic workflows and technology, support the physicians in delivering consistent, high quality patient care. The MSM should strive to provide operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies and standards of practice. It is the MSM responsibility to develop and sustain standard workflows and operating procedures that are consistent across all the medical offices. This position will collaborate and align consistent patient experience across all HMG facilities (including primary care and urgent care). It is imperative that the MSMs within HMG maintain a collaborative working relationship. Essential Functions

 Provides responsible stewardship for HMG resources.

 Hires, trains and manages the Site Managers/Supervisors to manage the Medical Offices that the MSM is responsible for.

 Initiate programs for employees that provide leadership training as well as opportunities for skill.

 Works with the other MSMs to develop initiatives that support strategic growth and performance improvement across the Organization.

 Ensures that all Medical Offices are maintained in accordance with professional and regulatory standards and the philosophy and the goals of the Organization.

 Works in collaboration with HMG and HMTS leadership, providers and staff to develop and implement strategies and metrics to ensure service excellence, clinic utilization and productivity

 Coordinates oversight of Medical Offices’ operations-clinic flow, patient follow-up, billing, insurance/payor issues, staffing, training, compliance, initiation of policy and procedures, implementation and adherence to policy and procedures.

 Responsible for the development of Medical Office financial management and business planning (resource & budget allocation) and implementing financial performance metrics that support budget adherence.

 Works with other MSMs to identify and recommend strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care and service.

 Recommends, implements, evaluates and sustains processes to improve systems that affect the continuum of care.

 Active participation in HMG committees and represents HMG in community activities.

 Promotes an environment sensitive to the culturally diverse needs of patients and organizational staff.

 Ensure that the HMG support staff, facilities and technology support the HMG physicians in providing an outstanding level of patient care.

 Provides input in the design of new/remodeled Medical Office to support office efficiency and workflow conductive to patient focused care.

 Responsible for the successful transition of acquisitions and onboarding of newly hired physicians and staff and on-going evaluation and/or refining of existing services and programs

 Engage with/participate in various Heritage committees as appropriate.

 Provide leadership to ensure quality metrics processes are developed and implemented

 Perform annual reviews for Site Managers/Site Supervisor

 Performs other duties as assigned


Education, Training and Experience


 3-5 years of experience in Ambulatory Care Leadership position

 Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, or comparable years of experience



 6+ years of experience in Ambulatory Care Leadership position

 BLS Certification

 Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN)


Skills or Other Qualifications


 Proven ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate actions from a multidisciplinary perspective.

 Ability to lead professionals, influence collaboration, and to conduct and interpret quantitative/qualitative analysis, as well as proven leadership skills in project management, consulting, and strong communication skills.

 Ability to write detailed policies, procedures and reports required to comply with DNV, JCAHO, CDPH, Federal and State of California Standards

 Skilled change agent with a sensitivity to interpersonal, group dynamic, organizational, political and perceptual issues associated with change. Focused self-starter taking initiative in everyday responsibilities as well as special projects.





License and Certifications





Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.
