Job Description:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an integral part of optimizing our recruitment processes and upholding the quality of service for our signature candidate experience. The ideal candidate must be passionate about helping others and willing to contribute to recruiting initiatives, organizational objectives and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.


In addition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist must be highly motivated, self-directed and think quickly on their feet to adapt to our fast-paced environment.

• Partners with the Talent Acquisition and Compensation team and ensures that all external job postings are immaculate, i.e. performance-based, descriptive, and reflective of the Hoag culture and brand.

• Generate 360-degree SkillSurvey reference checking

• Partner closely with our MSP Rightsourcing for all contingent staffing labor needs.

• Assist with DNV and CDPH Compliance Audits and Surveys.

• Create SEO friendly job marketing campaigns and PPC sponsored job advertisements. Track and report conversion rates to determine source effectiveness.

• Create evergreen content that helps grow our employer brand, highlight our culture (why work here?) and increase applicant traffic for job opportunities via Social Platforms, i.e. LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Schedule posts via Hootsuite and Later. QA all content against branding guidelines and proofread for grammar and punctuation.

• Heavy use of social media apps and CRM tools for sourcing and developing candidate pipelines. 

• Provides a "red-carpet" recruitment and onboarding experience.

• Schedule Montage On-Demand and/or Live Candidate Interviews via mobile, PC or other compatible multimedia devices.

• Prepare a "best in class "total candidate rewards statement, to include but not limited to; offer letters, sign-on bonuses, relocation allowance, new hire training agreements, and stipends.

• Oversee the organization’s "refer a friend at Hoag" Employee Referral Program. Ensure the process is automated, measurable, seamless, and rewards are distributed within the appropriate timeframe.

• Prepare charts, graphs, and various KPI reporting metrics utilizing V-lookups and pivot tables in Microsoft Excel or Google Analytics. Analyze data, establish correlations, identify needs/gaps, and illustrate trends.

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with universities, community colleges, and community organizations as a source for generating qualified candidates. Plan, organize and coordinate all on and off-campus career fairs as necessary.

• Maintain, process and report all department invoicing through appropriate approvals via check request and/or EchoSign.

• Responsible for maintaining the Recruitment Experience (Rx) Survey

• Maintain professional knowledge of current industry trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.

• Act as the primary contact for the Talent Acquisition team with internal partners and vendors.

• Maintain high-level of confidentiality and discretion on all interactions

• May be required to travel to multiple Hoag locations as necessary

• Perform additional duties as necessary



• Bachelor’s Degree

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruitment or Marketing

• General understanding of talent acquisition systems and HR processes (ATS, References, HR compliance, etc.)

• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios. Demonstrate Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

• Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Google analytics or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

• Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.

• Must be interpersonal with excellent communication skills

*Please note that this position is a 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity. In addition, the role will be required to work on-site and maintain normal working hours M-F 8AM-5PM.
