Salary Range: $29.3000 - $45.0300 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
Participates as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of an RN/Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager. Functions in the role of scrub/assist person and assisting physician and/or RN. Responsible for direct and indirect care of patients. Assists with maintenance, and care of instruments, supplies, and equipment according to the manufacturers’ instructions, standards of infection prevention, and institutional policies/procedures. Practices appropriate initiation and maintenance of sponge, needle, and miscellaneous item counts and equipment according to policy. Decontaminates cleans, and care for operating room equipment utilizing clean/sterile technique used in a procedural setting. Identifies, gathers, and prepares instruments equipment, and specialty items for all procedures promptly according to preference card. Acknowledges the physiologic needs of the patient (size of equipment, maintenance of body temperature, and patient safety). May require on-call duty. Performs other duties as assigned.
Surgery Tech I Labor and Delivery
In addition to the above, the Surgery Tech I LD will set up delivery tables and assist OB/RN with deliveries.
Education and Experience
Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Scrub Technician program or equivalent military medical core training (only GI Lab does not require this)
Solid computer technical skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and additional Organizational systems (Affinity, SMS, and PACS)
A minimum of 1 year recent OR experience preferred
Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates preferred
Labor and Delivery and LDRP (Irvine Birthing Suites): 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery fields preferred
Certifications Required
BLS through the American Heart Association

12. California Immunization Registry
Hoag may share your immunization or tuberculosis (TB) screening test records with the California Immunization Registry (CAIR), a statewide, secure and confidential database of patient immunization information. The CAIR is used by health care professionals,
agencies, and schools to keep track of all shots and TB tests you take, and can provide proof about immunizations needed to start child care, school, or a new job. If you do not want your immunization or TB records to be shared with other registry
users, please fax or email the “Decline or Start Sharing/Immunization Information Request Form,” available on the CAIR website at

13. Your California Privacy Rights
