SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER- WEB - DIGITAL

The Sr. Product Owner - Web oversees the core web journeys and underlying platform of Hoag’s customer-facing websites. The website is our face and first impression for many customers across a breadth of health services that Hoag offers the Orange County Community.

 

As the Sr Product Owner, you will guide projects from creation through execution. You will be in the unique position of leading the vision and strategy for our a highly ranked health Institution’s .com journey. You will need strategic thinking, execution, and superb partner management. You will also collaborate with designers, engineers, analysts, marketers, and other cross-functional team members within the organization to ensure that our platform provides a remarkable experience for anyone visiting the Hoag web experience.

 

  • Set the vision, roadmap, and direction for the web journeys in tight collaboration with design, engineering, and analytics
  • Assemble and prioritize strategic initiatives for our web experiences
  • Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all our goals
  • Determine features, write product specs/user stories, organize user studies, improve feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and launch
  • Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization.
  • Foster an environment that enables the team to build quickly while maintaining a high standard for quality
  • Participate in Design, Development, Quality Assurance, and UAT cycles and sign off on all development projects before implementation.
  • Identify and solicit internal recommendations and incorporate in discussions regarding product roadmap. Perform cost/benefit analyses of proposed projects to determine priority and feasibility.
  • Research and recommend continued “best practices” for website development projects.
  • Measure and track project performance and provide the organization with results analysis.
  • Extensive understanding of website information architecture, including “best practice” features and functionality across web journeys
  • Ability to develop business functional specification and use cases
  • Understanding of web technology fundamentals, including mobile and app
  • Proficient with JIRA/Asana/Trello, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to lead and influence based on domain and technical expertise
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Continuous growth mindset. Willing to learn new skills/different areas of the business/how the product fits into the bigger picture, etc.
  • Measure and report on all aspects of web performance including experiments, metrics, timelines and outcomes.

 

Education, Training and Experience

 

Required:

  • Seven plus years of Web or Mobile Product Management or closely related experience
  • Bachelors’ Degree required or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with agile development methodology
  • Advanced experience working on cross-functional teams
  • Experience working collaboratively with peers and shipping at scale
  • Experience driving projects to successful and timely delivery
  • Experience developing and managing world-class, well-loved Website experiences with operational oversight and ownership of the platform

 

Preferred:

  • Customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs
  • Experience building platforms or working with design systems
  • Navigated difficult situations with competing partner needs
  • Experience shipping and iterating on successful products at scale, with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with content management systems e.g. WordPress
  • Experience with web analytical tools e.g. Adobe, Google Analytics etc.
  • Understanding of front-end programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
