RADIOLOGY EQUIPMENT SPEC III - BIO MED SERVICES

The Radiology Equipment Specialist (RES) III is responsible for inspections, preventative maintenance, repair and installations of ionizing radiology equipment, to include radiography, radiography / fluoroscopy, portable radiography, and portable fluoroscopy equipment.  Additionally, this position will be responsible for the direct radiology (DR) and computerized radiography (CR) equipment as well as associated UPS units, patient tables used in imaging, film digitizers and ultrasound imaging equipment. Position may require travel between various Hoag locations and its affiliates.

 

Additionally, the level III performs with minimal supervision. Must be RES certified or have equivalent experience (5-7+ years). Performs other duties as required.

 

 

Education and Experience

Required:

  • A.S. degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of Radiology Imaging equipment.

 

Preferred:

  • Understanding of ultrasound systems and services
  • Understanding of computer workstations and associated peripherals as used in conjunction with Imaging Equipment

 

Licenses

May be required:

  • Current California driver’s license to operate Hoag vehicles.

 

Certifications

Required:

  • Must have RES certification (by a qualified training institute) or equivalent work experience in the industry.
