PAYROLL TIMEKEPPER SCHEDULER - PAYROLL SERVICES

Payroll Timekeeper Scheduler I The Payroll Timekeeper Scheduler I is responsible for timekeeping functions for assigned group of employees through proficient use of Workforce Timekeeper and Workforce Scheduler applications. Will ensure that time records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Is responsible for supporting management with daily audits and edits of the Time and Attendance application and attendance module. In addition, the Payroll Timekeeper Scheduler I will be expected to handle special projects as assigned successfully meeting all required deadlines associated with such projects. Weekend work days required on a rotational basis.

 

Essential Functions

Payroll Timekeeper Scheduler I

• Input corrections to employee time records, based on duly executed Timekeeping Correction Forms, submitted by employees.

• Input Paid Time Off transactions into Time and Attendance application.

• Maintain appropriate documentation for each transaction input into Time and Attendance application.

• Validate time records in Time and Attendance application with scheduling module.

• Thoroughly and accurately completes all actions related to Timekeeping functions.

• Assist in development of training and procedure documentation and keep Management informed of any serious issues and/or new processes as necessary.

• Assist in monitoring of current/new pay practices to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies.

• Assist in creation and development of effective auditing procedures to ensure accurate employee time records.

• Maintains ongoing education in Kronos applications.

• Uses initiative to resolve problems with appropriate action and follow through, including documentation.

• Participates in the training of new employees, and offers guidance, assistance and direction to less experienced personnel.

• Reports all “near misses”, potential and actual errors to the supervisor in a timely manner.

• Participate in software testing and functionality, before roll-out.

• Consistently meet closing of Time and Attendance application for export to Payroll application.

• Prepare statistical reports as requested.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education, Training and Experience

Payroll Timekeeper Scheduler I:

Required:

Working experience with day-to-day timekeeping and scheduling operations.

 

Preferred:

Kronos application experience. Hospital experience with time and attendance systems.

Required:

Demonstrates willingness to learn about California wage and hour laws, learn new procedures, readily accepts new responsibilities, participates as a team player and contributes to the success of the department. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken. Strong Customer Service skills, organizational ability, knowledge of Hospital policies and procedures and the ability to follow instructions. Must have the ability to use 10-key by touch.

 

Preferred:

Knowledge with federal wage and hour laws.
