Salary Range: $27.8800 - $42.9000 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Medical Staff Services, the Medical Staff Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, organizing, maintaining, and analyzing data within the medical staff services department, ensuring data accuracy and integrity by managing databases, performing data entry, cleaning, validation, and generating reports to support decision-making across the department; often collaborating with different teams to gather data, identify trends, and implement data quality control measures.  The Data Analyst also provides administrative support by preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, updating databases, and scheduling meetings. This role combines technical expertise, organizational skills, and customer service to ensure accurate reporting and effective communication across teams. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Data Collection: Gathering data from multiple sources like surveys, internal systems, and external databases, ensuring proper data collection procedures are followed. 

  • Data Entry and Management: Accurately inputting data into designated databases, maintaining data organization, and updating records as needed. 

  • Data Cleaning and Validation: Identifying and correcting data inconsistencies, errors, and duplicates to ensure data quality. 

  • Reporting: Generating regular and ad-hoc reports based on data analysis, presenting findings to relevant stakeholders. 

  • Database Maintenance: Maintaining and updating database structures, ensuring data security and compliance with regulations. 

  • Assists in a variety of duties, including, but not limited to, the annual dues assessment and collection; expirable management such as DEA, license, professional liability insurance, specialty board certification status; maintaining and updating credentials files and the practitioner database. 

  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individuals. 

  • Answers telephones, assisting the caller, if possible, or referring/transferring the caller to the appropriate individual(s) 

 

Education and Experience  

High School Graduate or equivalent required. 

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power BI, plus healthcare database systems required. 

Minimum 2 years in a data-driven analyst or administrative role within healthcare or hospital settings. Familiarity with medical staff credentialing and privileging processes is a plus. 

Administrative support experience in Medical Staff Services preferred.
