FOUNDATION SPECIALIST, DONOR RELATIONS

Salary Range: $31.6700 - $48.9400 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Foundation Specialist is responsible for advancing the Hoag Hospital Foundation’s mission through the planning, coordination, and implementation of assignments in collaboration with internal and external partners to achieve overall Foundation goals.

 

The Foundation Specialist specializes in overseeing projects, focusing on coordinating and facilitating operations for both internal and external stakeholders. With a strong emphasis on organization, meticulous planning, and attention to detail, this role ensures streamlined processes and fosters effective communication among team members. The specialist ensures a standard of excellence in service delivery to staff, donors volunteers, and both internal and external stakeholders, nurturing strong relationships and trust. Key responsibilities include:

  • Actively contributing to the strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Executing various projects assigned by supervisor, including developing presentation decks, talking points, meeting agendas, and departmental reports.
  • Serve as a strategic liaison across the organization advancing the progress of our organizational goals and initiatives by creating efficiencies, proactively developing solutions and maximizing interdependent relationships across departments
  • Facilitating small-scale events, from strategic pre-event planning to post-event analysis of Return on Investment (ROI), ensuring successful outcomes  
  • Manage and analyze donor information within internal systems including SalesForce, as related to specific department/area
  • Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Donor Relations Dept: Supports the team across all areas including event support, donor stewardship and recognition, and strategic engagement. The role includes analyzing event outcomes to improve future initiatives and managing the scheduling and coordination of strategic meetings. Encompasses the development and implementation of donor stewardship strategies. The position requires proactive management and optimization of projects.  

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Experience 
  • Minimum five years of professional and/or administrative experience
  • Microsoft Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, teams, Outlook)
  • Canva knowledge
  • Salesforce or equivalent database knowledge
