Salary Range: $55.4300 - $91.4300 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Sr. Director of Prospect Management and Research (Director) is responsible for providing the strategic vision and day-to-day management of a comprehensive prospect and philanthropic pipeline management and research program.  Through data analysis and research tools, the Director identifies new major and principal gift prospects, evaluates existing donors for engagement and potential increased levels of support, and partners with other back-office disciplines to support numerous organizational advancement efforts.

The Director partners closely with frontline fundraising staff, their administrative support personnel and foundation leadership.  Utilizing a variety of both public and proprietary data sources, the Director develops reports, analyses, and recommendations related to potential donors and prospects. 

The Director maintains proposal data, manages prospect and donor portfolios, and facilitates review sessions that result in activities that successfully move prospects through the solicitation cycle. 

The Director will monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, leading to data-driven insights and resources that inform and guide the Foundation's strategies and activities.  The Director will help design and execute projects in a highly collaborative envitonment.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.

Seven to ten years of professional experience that demonstrates professional advancement, with three to five years of related supervisory experience.

Significant experience within the Prospect Management and Research discipline is also required, with a preference for that experience within a health care or higher education foundation setting.

Master’s degree also preferred.
