Salary Range: $73.2900 - $120.9300 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Director Oncology and Specialty Clinics is responsible for the daily clinical operations in all areas of the assigned Hoag Oncology and Specialty Clinic locations in Newport Beach, Irvine, and Huntington Beach. This includes, but is not limited to, staffing, patient care, physician, and staff engagement. The Director oversees and provides leadership in daily operations and contributes to implementing goals and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include leading clinic site Supervisor(s), Manager(s) in the assessment, planning and implementation of projects to achieve growth and quality standards. The Director oversees delivery of patient care, assuring compliance with all regulatory and/or legal entities and maintaining quality standards and fostering collaborative relationships with the practicing physicians within the Hoag Oncology and Specialty Clinics.

 

In close collaboration with the Hoag Family Cancer Institute service line leaders and under the direction of the Executive Director, establishes evidence-based quality metrics and performance improvement goals for the department. Pursues certifications, accreditation projects as assigned. Evaluates the capabilities of all personnel prior to delegating duties within the department. Ensures all regulatory compliance matters relating to patient care standards are met. Aligns productivity with Department budgets and participates in the fiscal planning process. Projects and image of professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct; participates in the continuous quality improvement process and program growth and development. Rounds and travels to assigned Clinic locations. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors in nursing (BSN) required; Masters in nursing, business, or healthcare administration, preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of leadership experience in ambulatory clinical operations

 

 

Licenses Required:

  • RN Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of California

 

 

Certifications Required:

  • BLS

Certifications Preferred:

  • OCN: Oncology Certified Nurse

 

 

Position Supervises:

Supervisors, Managers, RN’s, NP’s
