Job Summary

The Product Director at Hoag will be responsible for the strategy and vision for our Digital Health experiences and products within defined personas. In this role, you will work closely with UX/Design and Engineering teams as well as partner with adjacent teams across the organization to deliver experiences and products that shape the future of Healthcare. You will be an integral part of a highly cross-functional team working with world class medical professionals, designers, and engineers to help innovate and address challenging problems within the healthcare space. Translates customer needs to technical solutions from start to finish. Writes detailed, well-organized requirements and user stories that can be used to design product specifications.


Essential Functions:

  • This role requires the ability to think big, dive deep with technical teams, and work across partners throughout the larger Healthcare organization to deliver important Digitally forward healthcare products.
  • You must have a passion for mobile app experiences and bring analytical rigor to the team.
  • You must be familiar with machine learning capabilities and have experience using it to rank or personalize content.
  • It is critical that you can work backwards from the customer and think through the translation of customer needs to technical solutions with the help of your engineering and design partners.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application.
  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and external factors.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market.
  • You have excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Perform other product owner duties as assigned.



Job Qualifications


Education, Training and Experience:


  • 5+ years of product management/ownership experience within leading consumer products and/or Health-Tech organizations.
  • Bachelors’ Degree required.



  • Expereince delivering enterprise level employee and consumer facing mobile and web applications, familiarity with user experience and interactive design best practices.
  • Experience planning, managing, and leading complex technology projects in a high-paced, fast-changing work environment, leading the team through issue resolution during the entire development lifecycle.
  • Experience planning and leading software release cycles including prioritizing features, coordinating schedules across platforms, coordinating user testing, and communication with stakeholders on roadmaps, delivery status, and change management details.
  • Experience using Agile development methodologies and familiarity using JIRA/Confluence to document business requirements and organizing work into Epics, User Stories, and writing Acceptance Criteria is a plus. 


Skills or Other Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to clarify business problems, identify process/user experience improvement opportunities, and represent business interests during the design and development of technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to write detailed business requirements intended for software engineering, UI/UX design, and track record of working with engineering/design to create technology solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with software engineering teams to reduce technical debt, introduce new technologies, and migrate to new architectures.
  • Excellent meeting facilitation, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
