We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Women Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our collaborative, comprehensive team. The WHNP will assess, diagnose, and treat the health care needs of women throughout their stages of life. You will provide adolescent health care, provide direct patient well-women care including but not limited to pap and pelvic exam, infertility evaluation care and gynecological services, prenatal and postpartum care and menopausal care. You will discuss patient symptoms and concerns and perform thorough examinations to diagnose their medical problem and prescribe medication or create a treatment plan if necessary. Additionally, you will focus on health promotion, disease prevention, appropriate health education, and help patients make healthy lifestyle choice.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate new patient consultation and evaluate medical history
  • Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
  • Order and administer tests including bloodwork
  • Care before and after menopause
  • Evaluation and treatment of common infections
  • Review and interpret test results to diagnose health problems
  • Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
  • Educate patient on women’s health
  • Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
  • Perform in office procedures
  • Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients
  • Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.

Mandatory Core Procedures:

  • Intrauterine Device (IUD) placement – Mirena
  • Intrauterine Device (IUD) placement – Paragard
  • Removal of Intrauterine Device (IUD) – (with strings showing)

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • MSN with a specialty in Women’s Health or FNP with women's health NP experience - Required
  • CA RN and CA NP license – Required
  • National Certification in NP specialty - Required
  • Minimum of 2 years NP experience in woman’s health practice- Required
  • BLS and ACLS from AHA or  – Required
  • OB experience
  • Previous experience with antenatal testing (NSTs and AFI)- Preferred
  • Proficient in EHR medical charting system and computer-based data management programs and information systems
  • Understands HIPAA and OSHA regulations
