PRINCIPAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS - HOI ADMINISTRATION

Salary Range: $73.29 - $120.93 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Principal Business Development & Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing deep and sustainable relationships between HOI with the physicians of the Hoag community, as well as other key businesses as it relates to patient referrals and value-based care opportunities. The Principal identifies potential business partners for the purpose of care partnership agreements, playing an integral role in negotiations, logistics and implementation of the agreements to drive both volume and value to HOI. Acts as a key leader in HOI’s strategic business development efforts into new communities, as well as the implementation of an ambulatory services strategy. Serving as a critical link between the hospital and its affiliates, the principal is responsible for developing new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with physicians and other healthcare. The Principal markets and promotes HOI services and programs to physicians, physician medical groups, and other related referral sources to drive brand awareness and volume. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Business Development – HOI Enterprise

  • Executes business development and physician outreach efforts for HOI Enterprise, Clinically Integrated Network and Programs while supporting other services.
  • Ensures that initiatives and projects are prioritized and aligned with business needs and strategy.
  • Develops relationships with referral sources to obtain information relative to strengths and weaknesses of services/providers, therefore supporting volume of referrals. Prepares reports and reviews such reports with manager to identify any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for referral volume.
  • Strategically identify and sign potential tenants for the HOI Clinics in Tustin and Foothill Ranch. Create and execute targeted strategic business development, marketing, and PR plan for tenant groups in clinic(s). Oversee clinic management and operational issues.
  • Coordinates and consults with Hoag Physician Outreach Specialists for alignment.

 

Marketing/Strategic Partnerships/Market Data Analysis

  • Work with leadership to explore, frame, and operationalize partnership strategies for HOI
  • Coordinate management of sponsorship agreements and provide support/guidance for HOI events.
  • Website development/management consultants including new program/location development.
  • Monitor and analyze market data for service lines.  Make recommendations and coordinate interventions with physicians, medical groups, managers, administrators, and other staff.
  • Leverage referral analytics to track and capture market share and analyze market data to identify opportunities and reduce market leakage.

 

Customer Service/Patient Experience

  • Identify and address barriers for patient referrals and work with program directors to improve processes and patient experience.  Follow up with physician practices to ensure satisfaction and secure future patient referrals.
  • Facilitate miscellaneous physician requests to ensure satisfaction.

Education and Experience

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care, Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. 
  • Five years minimum strategy and business development and experience in the healthcare industry

Preferred: 

  • Master’s Degree preferred: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration
  • Marketing experience
