SCHEDULING SPECIALIST II - PERIOPERATIVE BUSINESS SVCS

Salary Range: $21.8400 - $33.5900 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Under the direction of the Operations Manager the Scheduling Specialist II will primarily perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to: developing the master schedule for all OR procedures; preparing the staffing schedule for the Operating Room RNs, Registered Nurse First Assistants, Surgical Techs, and Operating Room Assistants; monitors Kronos for the OR, Anesthesia Support, and Heart Team, including daily time entry; monitors BLS/License/Certification Report for the departments; maintains current employee files for the OR, Anesthesia support, and Holding; manages off site records; participates in Environment of Care Rounds; initiates and manages work orders for broken OR equipment including phones and computers as appropriate. 

 

Education, Training and Experience

Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Business, clerical, and / or hospital / clinical setting experience. Medical terminology knowledge is required. 

Preferred: Associate's degree or higher in healthcare-related field, hospital scheduling experience, experience scheduling patients for multiple physians at once. 

 

Skills or Other Qualifications

Required: Computer knowledge. Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be able to prioritize. Strong communication and customer service skills required. Must have experience using Excel, Word, PPT and strong typing/computer skills. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive customer service and professional attitude at all times.

Preferred: Advanced Excel Knowledge. 

 

License and Certifications

Preferred but not required: BLS through American Heart Association
