Salary Range: $22.00 - $30.50 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Revenue Cycle Associate II is responsible for clerical duties and operational support in Revenue Cycle or Coding. This role greets and assists all visitors in the department. The associate distributes mail, answers phones, and maintains and distributes records and/or reports regularly. Maintains and prepares for scanning high volumes of documents and/or health information. Processes billing or health information. Releases billing or health information. Keeps supervisor informed of issues/concerns that arise. May prepare face sheets for contracted local fire departments and provide general administrative support. May collect and/or deliver health information from nursing unit, retrieve records from storage, and account for discharged patient medical records. Performs other duties as assigned. Additionally, the Revenue Cycle Associate II provides higher level department support. May analyze records for deficiencies and resolves, monitor and review transcription vendor interface, and work with physicians and hospital departments to resolve transcription errors and issues. May process patient payments, prepare daily bank deposit, and process insurance and patient refunds.

 

Education and Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic keyboarding skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • One year clerical experience required including working with calculations and phone systems.
