SR. HR GENERALIST - PHYSICIAN SERVICES

The Physician Services Specialist positions work in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to facilitate a high-touch, white-glove physician/provider experience across Medical Groups and IPA. In a corporate work-environment, the Specialists exude positivity, focus, problem-solving skills, and resilience to exceed the expectations of internal and external physician/providers, customers and colleagues. Physician Services Specialists respond to all physician/provider inquiries delivering top-caliber concierge service through multiple communication channels. This role is central to ensure a uniquely Hoag experience and a physician/provider experience that is unparalleled in healthcare. Physician Services Specialists maintain a continual learning mindset empowered to self-correct and influence process improvement, technology improvement, and our physician/provider experience.

 

Sr. Physician Services Specialist

In addition to the Physician Services Specialist requirements, the Sr. Physician Services Specialist is a mentor on the team that leads aspects of internal training functions, is a subject matter expert in a variety of knowledge sets, and efficiently manages service recovery functions, is a life-long learner, and is a champion change agent for physician/provider experience and process improvement activities.

 

 

  • Directly supports the strategic, employment, and organizational needs of physicians/providers across Hoag Clinic.
  • Develops Hoag Clinic and Medical Group policies and process in cooperation with leadership and in support of state, federal and local laws
  • Works with medical groups and legal counsel regarding employment agreement language and interpretation
  • Supports legal process for deposition subpoenas and lawsuits presented to physicians or medical groups; coordinates deposition dates with legal counsel
  • Confirms accuracy of physician/provider pay and benefits through audits and other means. Ensures proper physician agreements or other required documentation in place for payments.
  • Reviews and process Leaves of Absence requests and Workers’ Compensation claims; works with medical group or appropriate leadership regarding accommodation requests.
  • Ensures required training is assigned and completed as required
  • Stays abreast of changing laws and policies in relation to HR functions and physician employment and communicates changes affecting department, medical groups and Clinic
  • Focuses on process improvement to create efficiencies and reduce liability; develops forms and documents to support processes
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

 

 

Education, Training and Experience

 

Required:

 

Sr. Physician Services Specialist  - Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources; Experience managing complex and cross functional initiatives, processes, or projects.

  • Tech savvy and possess a capability to quickly learn new applications
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings and deliver presentations
  • Proven project management skills

 

Preferred:

  • Experienced with ADP, Paylocity, Workday payroll systems
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Visio and Publisher

 

License and Certifications
