EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST - HCM MUNICIPAL PROGRAMS

Salary Range: $30.75 - $47.28 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

The Exercise Physiologist assists participants in Health and Wellness program in achieving his/her optimal functional capacity through exercise, education, and risk factor modification. This role provides appropriate assessments, interventions and evaluation of patients with consideration of developmental milestones. Identifies safety concerns in age-related population and institutes appropriate measures. Monitors cardiac dysrhythmia. Conducts new participant orientation. Documents timely and accurately participant activities, progress, and patient education provided. Utilizes appropriate resources regarding participant problems or unusual responses to exercise. Cleans and stocks work area. Trains new employees and offers assistance to less experienced employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

***This position will work with First Responders at an Off-Site Location. Athletic Trainer Certification & Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist are a plus for this specific role.***

 

Education and Experience

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field of Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field is required.
  • Current BLS/CPR/First Aid certification through American Heart Association
  • Willing to travel to various locations

 

Preferred:

  • Minimum one-year clinical experience preferred, Industrial setting experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written); outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus
