Salary Range: $63.7300 - $105.1500 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Sr. Project Manager – Organizational Value Management is responsible for managing the implementation of projects that are focused on delivering strategic value to Hoag. They will apply best practice principles of project management to successfully manage the organization’s most complex and disruptive initiatives that profoundly impact operations and influence strategic goal achievement. They will leverage their skills to drive their project teams towards the development of solutions that deliver transformational value. The Sr. Project Manager ensures their assigned projects are implemented with rigor, integrity, and transparency, and continuously drives their teams towards benefits realization that are aligned with Hoag’s strategy.

The Sr. Project Manager is an advanced practitioner in project management with demonstrated success in delivering significant business value. This role will: Concurrently manage multiple projects that are at various stages in the project life cycle to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, as well as achievement of targeted benefits; Perform this work with an eye on customer satisfaction, anticipating the needs of the project sponsors and delivering on those needs proactively and with a high degree of quality;  apply full lifecycle project management processes and tools using OVM’s Project Management Methodology (based on PMBOK), from project initiation and planning, through execution and closure;  Independently conduct research as needed on new concepts and subject matter associated with assigned projects; Use verbal and written communication skills, executive presence, and influencing-without- authority abilities to collaborate effectively with staff at all levels of the organization to drive projects to success; Develop and deliver executive-level presentations that clearly and concisely tell a compelling story: Conduct interviews to understand current state as well as future state of the project, determine gaps between current and future state, and collaborate with project team members to determine how to address the gaps. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in project management OR High School Diploma/GED and at least 10 years of experience in project management

Experience managing complex, cross-functional, and enterprise-wide change efforts that produced significant business results for an organization Demonstrated success managing a variety of project types across all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, closure)

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Executive presence with strong influencing and negotiation skills

Highly proficient in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Highly organized and detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Exceptional and adaptive written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel from senior leadership to frontline staff

Adept at handling complex client interactions, including communicating difficult information

Drive to the root cause of lagging projects and work with executive leadership to define the appropriate mitigation strategies

 

Preferred:

Consulting experience

Experience managing healthcare-related projects and familiarity with healthcare provider industry

Strong leadership and team-building skills
