Job Summary:

Hoag Executive Health is for clients looking for a best-in-class, annual health exam designed to uncover medical, nutritional and physical imbalances that can lead to disease and/or injury. Hoag Executive Health clients receive a comprehensive one-day physical and medical evaluation in addition to a fitness and nutrition assessment. As a follow up, clients receive a comprehensive Wellness Report and personalized diet and exercise plan that enables them to put what they have learned about optimizing their health into practice. The Exercise Physiologist will perform fitness and nutritional assessments and oversee reporting and client follow-up calls.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Health and Fitness Coaching

  • Creating individualized fitness routines for each client that caters to their specific needs and/or lifestyles
  • Consulting with clients in regards to PersonalCare’s coaching options.
  • Work with clients in order to make adjustments as needed based on progress
  • Find new and thoughtful ways to continue to motivate and inspire clients to commit to a healthy lifestyle.
  • Develop and maintain nutritional strategies to help decrease clients disease risk.
  • Educate and inform clients on new and effective aspects of fitness and nutrition.

Assessments – Executive Physicals and Health Fit Assessments

  • Work with physicians to provide a world class executive physical experience.
  • Through client consultations, determine their individual fitness and nutritional needs, goals, and potential dangers.
  • Using information provided by physicians and personal assessments, create a fitness and nutrition program, customized to the clients specific needs.
  • Able to create in depth reports through collaboration with physicians that highlight specific needs, deficiencies, or areas of potential health concerns that a patient may have.

Staff Integration

  • Working with medical practice staff to ensure seamless processes between the practice and HealthFit studio.
  • Assisting with practice and delivery teams as necessary during day to day tasks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and member expansion activities both in practice and community
  • Create additional sales opportunities by fostering and expanding client relationships and collaborating with the sales and marketing teams

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field is required (master’s degree preferred)
  • Certified ASCM Clinical Exercise Specialist or Certified by the American Society of Exercise Physiologists
  • 3 years of experience in a fitness related field, sales experience also a plus
  • Fitness testing knowledge (VO2 Max, Functional Movement Screen, etc.) and fitness related certifications (CPR, ACSM, NSCA, CES, etc.) are desired.
  • Nutritional certification (R.D., L.D.N, C.D.N.) Strongly encouraged.
  • CPR/First Aid

 

Skills:

  • Outstanding ability to work as a member of a team or individually as needed.
  • Advanced health consultation and nutritional coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written); outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Technical competency using Microsoft applications, client relationship manager, and internet based applications
  • Engaging energy, passion for health and fitness
